It is the artist Bertrand Loth (renowned magician) who opened the show. In this art, this giant of the European scene has excelled for 40 years in this register. Mark Antony (Golden Wand in Monte Carlo), very touching another number where the art of illusion is rivaled the beauty of what he reveals, has also captivated audiences. Juan Mayoral (first world price in Lausanne), Lorena, world champion Hula Houpe, the Chinese Zheng Huang and Jean-Philipe Loupi all have enchanted the audience. The three shows offered each day at the Royal Theatre (1,500 seats), were generally well attended. School children and orphans have occupied the top spots. Performances were also given on the huge stage built on the square of Djemaa el Fna. The first show scheduled for Friday night was canceled because of thunderstorms with rain extremely violent. Inspired by a simple representation in 2002 for children from an orphanage in the red city, the festival, particularly user-friendly, become an annual event eagerly awaited by fans of magic with a reputation like the displayed other festivals world-class magic as those of Las Vegas and Los Angeles in the U.S. and Cannes in France, was attended by the biggest names of magicians representing eight countries: France, Morocco, Spain, Italy, China, Belgium, Germany and Austria.
