Oujda: Increased frequency of service
Pending the launch of the company RAM Express scheduled for 17 August, RAM expects from 1 June, a support program to enhance service to Oujda, Nador by setting up a network based on its frequency own fleet, including Boeing 737, said in a statement Tuesday RAM.
During the period 1 June to 16 August, the program inside the RAM on the axis Oujda will be restructured around 18 weekly frequencies, which will offer a capacity of 3500 seats per week from 1 June
The domestic program of RAM on the axis Oujda Express will be operational by August 17 next to the module ATR 72 (70 seats). This program is based on a shuttle three daily frequencies (21 frequencies per week) according to three slots in the day.
This program provides travel opportunities for domestic customers and also for customers connecting from / to International via Casablanca.
The capacity provided on the Casablanca-Oujda will thus 3000 seats per week from the start of RAM Express, the statement said.
With regard to international destinations, the Royal Air Morocco currently operates in the Oriental Region of two airports: Oujda and Nador.
Its flight program is based on three planes RAM operated by Atlas Blue. These planes are delocalized in Oujda and Nador, making flights to major European capitals.
These international services have been built to a very dense network of lines, which will be up to 50 frequencies per week in high season, an offer of 350,000 seats per year internationally.
The commissioning of the new runway and new terminal at Oujda Angad airport in July 2009, will significantly improve the quality of passenger service.
In addition, as part of the Plan Azur tourism and direction chosen with the creation of the new Saidia resort in northern Morocco, and to accompany the launch of this new station, the RAM study in consultation with foreign tour operators and tourism professionals in the region the establishment of fleet capacity and capability through its subsidiary Atlas Blue to relocate and base an additional aircraft in Oujda.
This aircraft, which will be transferred to Royal Air Morocco Atlas Blue, will gradually make the point to point routes on the European markets where customers are looking for products on the Mediterranean seaside to reduced transportation costs.
These include destinations such as London, Milan, Lyon and Madrid, which is an additional capacity of 200,000 seats internationally per year.
