SHANGHAI UNIVERSAL EXPO: May 1 to October 31, 2010.
December 3, 2002, in the evening, Shanghai, the economic capital of China, was appointed to organize the 2010 World Expo. The other candidates were Yeosu (South Korea), Moscow (Russia), Queretaro (Mexico) and Wroclaw (Poland).
That evening, the great dream of the Chinese city, Oriental Pearl, has become reality. The Chinese, especially Shanghainese, are the happiest people in the world. They promised to organize an exhibition successful, splendid and unforgettable in 2010.
The Expo is an opportunity for participants to share their achievements in the social, economic, cultural and scientific. This is the first time that this exhibition will be held in a developing country, which has opened a new chapter in the history of the event which dates back over 150 years.
This is still good news for China, after qualifying the previous summer for the 2008 Olympics. The World Expo, "Economic Olympics", will give new impetus to the development of China.
It now appears that all foreign countries certainly have a reason to turn to it for future giant exclaim after the WTO and the 2008 Olympics, the year China-France and obtained high profile in global forums such as UN, ASEM, APEC, ASEAN: the twenty-first century, the world is that of China!
The Shanghai World Expo will run from May 1 to October 31, 2010. the theme will be that of Better City, Better Life (Better City, Better Life).
