Timitar 2011: the 8th edition of the festival Timitar Agadir
The 2011 Festival Timitar Agadir, became the annual meeting of Amazigh music and world music.
For 8 years, the Festival offers the best Timitar of traditional and contemporary repertoires. Backbone of regional development projects, Timitar also promotes the creativity of local artists.

Date of the festival Timitar 2011:
From 22 to 25 June 2011, the city of Agadir will host the 8th annual Festival Timitar. The event will be this year's theme: "The Amazigh artists welcome world music," says the host association Timitar in a statement. The festival aims primarily to promote the Amazigh culture at national and international.
Viewers of Timitar 2011 will be offered, once again, a festival whose wealth, novelty and extreme diversity will surprise them and get them excited.

Timitar Agadir Festival is a festival that takes place in the Moroccan city of Agadir (Morocco) in July since 2003. This is a meeting place of world music, a time of sharing and exchange between musicians from around the world with an international audience. Many international artists come here to present their creative imprint of culture and history. The 2010 festival hosted 32 training Timitar which Izenzaren (Igout abdelhadi), Ali Campbell, legendary singer of UB40, Julian Marley (son of reggae mythic), Hindi Zahra, and many others.
