Bursa Turkey
Bursa (Brousse), southeast of the Marmara Sea, winds around the slopes of Mount Uludag (Mount Olympos of Mysia), 2443 meters. This city is named after its founder, King of Bithynia Prousias first. Bursa (Brousse in French) then fell under the yoke of Rome in the 1st century BC., Then Byzantine before becoming the first capital of the Ottoman Empire. Nicknamed the Green Bursa because of its many parks and gardens overlooking a green plain, it is at the heart of an important fruit production area. Bursa is famous for its silk trade, towel manufacture and its thermal springs.
Bursa was evangelized by Saint Andrew, the apostle of Bithynia, it was a hotbed of Christianity.

Yesil Camii (Green Mosque) mosque is named for its beautiful pottery. The mosque is built on a green inverted T plan by architect Haci Ivaz Pasa between 1413 and 1421, Ottoman style of the first sanctuaries.
The Green Mausoleum (Yesil Turbe), Sultan Mehmet Celebi is based in this mausoleum is an octagonal building topped by a single dome.
Ulu Camii (Great Mosque), the main artery of the city, just to score big bazaar. The Great Mosque was
first built by Yildirim Beyazit in 1396 to 1399, after his victory at Nicopolis. the mosque with 20 domes based on 12 columns of 3 stored. The interior decoration of this gigansteques Ottoman calligraphy red and black. The ablution fountain is the center of prayer. The mosque was surrounded by three madrasahs. one of its two minarets was the only one in the city was left standing in the earthquake of 1855.
Orhan Gazi Camii, the mosque is one of the oldest imperial sanctuary of Bursa, built in 1339 by Sultan Orhan Gazi and rebuilt in 1943, then once more rebuilt after an earthquake in 1855, but retained his mosque plan original.
The Covered Bazaar district just across the Grand Mosque, with its narrow streets, caravanserais and hans. The long building Koza Han (bazaar cocoon), dating 1490, houses the silk cocoon trade. E annually, June and September the villagers come to the bazaar to sell their crops of cocoons.

The center of the vile is the place to Cumhuriyet, also called up Heykel. and then Ataturk Avenue where is the Posta Central, Koza Han (Silk Bazaar) and also cafes are set among flowers and fountains.
The spas are mainly grouped in the district of Cekirge. Kaplica Eski (Old Baths) is the oldest bath in Bursa, and also Kaplica yeni (new spa) and the Grand Hotel celik Baths are among the most famous.
Bursa, 240 km by road from Istanbul Izmit, 385 km from Ankara and 391 km from Izmir. if you go to Bursa to Istanbul, take the ferry, go to the suburbs Eskihisar Asian side of Istanbul. But every bus leaving from Istanbul take the ferry to go to Bursa.
